YVCC Earth Day Farm Tours

Saturday, April 22

Want to build your connection to the Yellowstone Valley’s food culture and agricultural roots? Join us for a farm tour on Earth Day at one of two area ranches that provide well-raised meat to local consumers. Get a tour around their place and meet the babies of the herd. This will be a family-friendly event!

There will be two farm tours:

Morning 8 a.m. – 12 p.m
Hollenbeck Ranch near Molt (cattle and sheep)

Afternoon 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Charter Ranch near Shepherd (cattle)

These tours are in partnership with Good Earth Market’s annual Earth Day Celebration! Grab lunch before or after your tour (11 am – 2 pm), and check out the live music and brews from 4-6 pm. All GEM events are free and open the public.

We will meet at Good Earth Market (3024 2nd Ave N, Billings) at the designated start time and caravan to the tour locations; please meet us at GEM even if you will be driving yourself.

Each tour is limited to 25 people total. You have the option of riding in a van to the locations ($20 per adult, $10 per child) or driving yourself ($15 per person, $30 for a family in one car). For those attendees that choose to ride in the van, a native Montanan will serve as your tour guide to describe the agricultural history of the area along the drive. If you prefer to pay over the phone or by check, call 406-248-1154 to reserve your spot.

Registration will cover the costs of snacks and the van. Any proceeds will go to benefit Yellowstone Valley Citizens Council and our efforts to establish a local food hub in Billings. Learn more here >>

Thank you for your interest in attending YVCC's farm tours! As the event is drawing close, please call Alicia to see if there is any more space to attend. She can be reached at 406-248-1154.
